Medical Marijuana Users Win Court Injunction Against MMAR Changes
As we approach the April 1st deadline for the end of the MMAR (Medical Marijuana Access Regulations), and the beginning of the MMPR (Marijuana for Medical Purposes Regulations). Which will restrict patients from growing their own medicine, A huge court victory has been won.

This means that the 40,000 medical users allowed to grow for themselves will continue to be able to do so, for now. But the battle is long from being over. Health Minister Rona Ambrose stated that she is disappointed with the Federal Court’s ruling. “Health Canada will review the decision in detail and consider its options.”
Health Canada is continuing their assertions that “The marijuana access program has had “significant unintended consequences on public health, safety and security,” including the risks of home invasion, fires and toxic mold for those growing the plant at home, their neighbors and community”
