Massive Military Exercise In Niagara This Week, Are They Prepairing For A Russian Invasion?

The Canadian government has put itself at the front of a new “cold war” emerging between Russia and the West. By designating people who may be friendly to Russia (including Canadian citizens) and freezing their assets (sounds like the profunc programs of the 1970′s), imposing travel bans and economic sanctions, and now sending a cargo plane of military equipment to Ukraine.
Russia has responded in several ways, most importantly ordering restrictions on food imports from Western nations. Canada exports $1.7 billion worth of food to Russia ($500 million alone in the pork industry).
With the economic and information war in full swing between the two nations, the Canadian government is now starting military exercises across the nation to protect vital infrastructure from a foreign invasion.
Niagara to become ground zero for military exercise

this region will be ground zero for a huge military training exercise designed to ensure our nation’s troops are ready to kick the butts of any foreign troops who dare invade the Great White North.
Called Stalwart Guardian 14, the exercise is an annual one for troops across Ontario. But unlike many other training exercises that typically take place on military bases, this one will be much more visible to the public.
Col. Brock Millman, commander of the London, Ont.-based 31 Canadian Brigade Group, said in a letter to Thorold Mayor Ted Luciani earlier this year that the exercise will be “massive,” but will be conducted in a “safe, respectful and environmentally sound manner.”
At the July 15 meeting of Thorold city council, Millman and Maj. Paul Pickering — who is co-ordinating the exercise — said conducting the operation off-base makes it more realistic, because foreign bad guys are likely to hit infrastructure in populated areas.
“The terrain (on bases) is not complex, there are not big buildings, there are not roads, there is not a civilian population,” said Millman. “The training is not as effective as it can be.
“We’re coming here because it’s much more effective.”
Millman’s brigade, which is the reserve Canadian army in southwestern Ontario, is part of the 12,000-strong 4th Canadian division. He said more than 2,000 soldiers — a mix of reservists and veterans of missions in Afghanistan and Bosnia — will descend on Niagara for the exercise running from Aug. 16 to 24.
Pickering said the first troops and equipment will arrive on Aug. 11. There will be armoured reconnaissance troops in Smithville, a headquarters at the Niagara Regional Exhibition fairgrounds in Welland, and battle groups across Niagara, but the main activity will involve operations in Thorold near the Welland Canal, including on the property of wind turbine tower manufacturer TSP Canada.
Capt. Michael O’Leary, acting public affairs officer for the 31 Canadian Brigade Group, said it’s expected soldiers will be training in every municipality in Niagara.

With military personal arrivals announced for August 11th (today), myself along with a research team made the trip to Welland. We found an empty fair grounds, with a few porta potties being set up. No visible military presence in the town what so ever. Until we found the Lincoln and Welland Regiment.
Here we spoke with several people at the regiment (off the record) about the exercise, while they where setting up the mess(dinning) area for the troops. Picture below.
During the conversations we learned that soldiers from America and England will also be participating in the exercise and that there will be a United Nations presence. When asked if these exercises had anything to do with what is happening in geopolitics, mainly Russia. We where told yes multiple times. That infrastructure such as nuclear/power facilities, canals, etc. Need to be protected. That this is far different than the missions in the middle east. It is about playing a defensive role rather than offensive.
The Canadian Government seems ready to continue the “new” cold war with Russia and are preparing for an invasion.
We will be on the ground throughout Niagara for the duration of the exercise. Stayed tuned to pressfortruth.ca for updates.

This exercise had absolutely nothing to do with Russia. You most likely spoke to very low ranking personnel who spoke out of their lanes. This exercise occurs at the end of every summer, and has been in the planning stages since the end of the last Stalwart Guardian exercise which happened this time last summer.
Typical BS from the conspiracy theorist camp.
I think this was something everyone needs to see. It was unbelievable to see all of the soldiers and trucks. My kids loved driving by and talking to the soldiers, they were very pleasant. Probably never see this again in Port
What Canadian wants to go to war with anyone? No Canadian wants to go to war. The only people us Canadians need to protect ourselves form are the corrupt groups that have infiltrated and run our government. We have already been invaded, love you all, protect each other .
I think the Government and the Military should train the civilians to protect and surve as well, reason being because the enemy can attack us directly as well as fighting a war, we have seen this happen in every war civilians being attacked. Leaves me to this question to ask, What to we do to protect our selves well our military protects our home land? And don’t say hide out neither. I say give us weapons too, don’t protect a country if you cant do something for the people to protect themselves
Training to have the ability of protecting vital infrastructure is not a skill that is only required to protect Canada from an invasion. If you look at from a grand scale this Ex has a few primary roles, once possible targets have been idenrified a plan needs to be sought of and implemented to protect those infrastructure assets from possible enemy attact. To gain the skill to react fast and with purpose to protect while being employed in a vast populated area. THIS is not an exerice to determine the ability of the Canadian Forces to act against invasion on our soil but to defend against invasion from military or para military forces on any soil. The profession of arms dictates that training must be multi purpose otherwise its pointless. Training such as this is the key for our forces to have the skills to react to any threat of this sort at anytime in any continent or country.
The Canadian Armed Forces will need to worry about an U.S. invasion. That is the most plausible scenario Canada will have to deal with.
