P.E.T.A Wants A Billboard In Hamilton Compairing A Dead Man To The “Meat In Your Freezer””
P.E.T.A (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is proposing to have a billboard linking the late Peter Wald to meats in your freezer.
Peter Wald was an extremely religious man, whose family kept his corpse in their home for months after he died. Believing that he would be resurrected.
A news release by P.E.T.A about the billboard states “PETA is alerting nearby residents that corpses could be hidden in plain sight in other homes, particularly in kitchen refrigerators,” and “Are There Corpses in Your Home? Time to Go Vegan.”
P.E.T.A president Ingrid Newkirk has stated “people who keep chicken breasts, steak and deli meats in their fridge are “sharing” their home with “corpses.”
While Peter Wald’s family has said the ad would be “exploitative of a family tragedy.”
This kind of publicity stunt is not new for P.E.T.A but interesting since it was revealed last year that P.E.T.A is euthanizing as much as 90% of the animals in the P.E.T.A shelters. The report also concluded that P.E.T.A had 31,000 animals put down since 1998.
Maybe P.E.T.A can run an ad asking how many corpes they have in their freezers?
