Usury Free Day 2014
November 13th to 19th is the 10th usury free week, and today is usury free day.
What is usury free day/week?
Each year during UsuryFree Week - November 13th to 19th, usuryfree creatives share information and resources on two specific topics (a) the problems associated with the design flaw of usury on our orthodox, economic debt money system and (b) solutions as offered by the usuryfree community currency movement.
During this coming year, more local communities will launch a usuryfree community currency and it will be mutually beneficial for all who choose to participate. AND know that a usuryfree time currency is the optimal community currrency.
On UsuryFree Day (November 13th) and during UsuryFree Week (November 13th to 19th) and in fact for the other 51 weeks of the year, we-the-usuryfree-creatives invite debtors everywhere to participate in the re-education process by sharing printed documents and/or video documentaries on topics related to money, banking, usury-based debt money and usuryfree community currencies.

I was able to attend the 2012 Usury free day, where I was presented with a Winged Lion award by Tom “UsuryFree” Kennedy.
Below is a video from that event, it is a good starting point to the idea of a usury free world.

It’s UsuryFree Week, it’s two thousand and fourteen,
Usuryfree living for most debtors is still unseen.
Know that none of us is freed from usury,
Until all of us are freed from usury.
It is the usury that afflicts severe economic pain,
On all debtors who are paying for their creditors’ gain.
These usury keepers are propelled by ignorance and/or greed,
While more and more debtors for financial help do plead.
Usuryfree creatives are leading the way,
By bartering and trading for work and for play.
They create and spend their own tokens for free,
Using IOU’s, paper notes or blips electronically.
As locavores, they buy local all they can get,
And save federal dollars to pay off their debt.
Each year in mid-November, workshops are planned,
And we celebrate UsuryFree Day and Week across the land.
People gather in living rooms, kitchens and community halls,
To learn what is not taught within conventional learning walls.
Problems are exposed and solutions addressed,
Proven models are suggested to fix up what’s messed.
The usuryfree symbol - the Winged Lion Awards,
Are bestowed on pioneer leaders working towards,
Rebuilding community, shopping locally and simply giving,
So that all people in this world can once again experience usuryfree living.
