  1. Mr. Elson,

As a serving Police Officer, I find your comments disgusting, arrogant and it proves you obviosuly are not very intuitive.

My heart goes out to all the members of the Hamilton Police Service and the officers family and friends. What a tradegy!

Police officers are human, have emotions and often go through their careers as the unsung heroes. Before you comment on what a police officer did, could have done or should have done, try applying to a local police force and see if you have what it takes Mr. Elson, I have my doubts!

    RIP SGT Ian Matthews

Not a good idea to point your gun at yourself. I’ve heard that he died. Anybody that is a cop got firearms training and should know better. I think this guy is a nominee for a darwin award. Question is, was it intentional or accidental (foul play is possible, but medically it is easy to differentiate self-inflicted wounds)?

This is sad… I don’t like to see people getting hurt or people hurting themselves.

There’s something going on in humanity, why did this happen?

Did this person accidentally set the firearm off? Or was this intentional in attempt to commit suicide.

And if it was intentional the question would be why did they chose to do it at work?

These questions are crucial to answer because if this is a suicide and is a suicide somehow linked to the job then it needs to be investigated to determine if others in the force are feeling the same?

Time will tell but I seriously speculate we will never get the 100% truth, maybe 90% or 95% but never the 100%.

RIP to this person if their medical conditions do not get better

  4. Was it intentional
