Kathleen Wynne At The Liberal Provincial Council
The Liberal Provincial Council is taking place this weekend at the Hamilton convention center. Today was the main day of the event with the keynote speaker being Premier Kathleen Wynne. so I decided to go and check it out.
The day started at 7am with an anti austerity rally held by some of the local unions.
On Friday evening I went to register for media accreditation for the event today, I was told that I would be contacted by the person in charge of registrations by this morning. Shortly after 9am I hadn’t heard anything and sent an email to them. A person named Blane McPhail immediately wrote me back stating: “I believe my colleagues discussed accreditation with you yesterday. You will not be receiving accreditation for this event.”
Not being accepted didn’t surprise me much. But not too long later I found out that several other independent journalists and photographers had also been treated the exact same way. Going in and giving their information and then an email stating that it had been discussed with them already. Which was nothing short of a lie.
With that simmering in my mind I decided that I would just stick around and wait to do some good old ambush journalism. I waited and waited some more. Watched the live stream of her speech.
Wynne is asking the people in the Liberal party to brainstorm on ways to fund massive transportation projects because “transit funding is top issue”. Which falls right into the Agenda 21, sustainable development agenda. (Below is a brief video displaying this) This is why no independent media was allowed into the event to question stuff like that. we can’t have real questions being asked now can we?

4pm rolled around and people began to file out of the convention center. I stood waiting at the entrance/exit waiting to ask Wynne about her Agenda 21 programs. A black SUV waited, with two law enforcement officials in plain clothes inside and four Hamilton police officers lining from the doorway to the vehicle. One Hamilton police officer went to the vehicle and said “looks like you will be driving her”. About ten minutes later the SUV pulled out and drove away. Then the police officers walked away.
They pulled the bait and switch. Made it appear like she was going to come out those doors, while she snuck out somewhere else. I could understand this if there was a big group of media people. Or a bunch of people waiting to see her. But there wasn’t. It was just Lucas and I.
If the Agenda 21 implementation being conducted by the provincial government was not bad enough. They are also treating independent/citizen journalists as if they where the plague! This is not the first time a leader of the (provincial) Liberal party has ducked me like this. Back in 2011 Dalton McGuinty literally ran from the doorway of a hotel he was speaking at, to his bus. While I waited to ask him a question.
Independent/citizen journalism is the only real journalism left in our society and if politicians are going to treat them this way. They must go!
More taxes, Agenda 21, total disdain for actual journalism. Is this who you want running the province?

Sadly she is just scared to answer the questions of hard hitting people like yourself , keep up the great work canadian awareness .
