New Harry Potterstyle camouflage fabric that could make soldiers completely invisible on battlefield , by bending light waves around them, has been developed by a Canadian company. The US military is backing the development of the so-called ‘Quantum Stealth’ camouflage material which is said to render its wearers completely invisible , it has been claimed.

Manufacturers claim the material, which is in effect similar to the invisibility cloak worn by Harry Potter, can even fool night-vision goggles, the ‘Daily Mail’ reported . Many have questioned if this technology has already been deployed by the American military, while in Iraq and Afghanistan. Below is a video uploaded in 2010, that appears to show a soldiers using a type of “invisible” technology.

Regardless if this has been tested yet or not. This new tech is both exciting and scary at the same time. Like any technology it is all going to depend on who is using it, that will determine which one of those emotions will be invoked.
