Bill C 45- Fed Govt: More Control Over Reserves: Violations of Rights

Bill c 45 is a bill that violates First Nations’ treaty rights as well as human rights.
C-45 would bring significant changes to the Indian Act, including changes to land management on reserves which will make it easier for the federal government to control reserve land and reducing the protection of millions of lakes and rivers. In all it’s another bill to control land and control water perpatuating Agenda 21.
This bill is one of the omnibus bills forced through the House of Commons this year.

All of this legislation has been passed through without proper consultation and debate with first nations people.

“They basically tie in with land and resource use as well as the Indian Act. And the government is pushing these through. They are effectively ramming it through parliament very quickly, without proper debate and discussion and without hearing the voice of the First Nations.”
~ Don MacKenzie- director of Intergovernmental Affairs with the Mi’kmaq Confederacy of P.E.I.

“the first nations of northwestern Ontario are concerned that their rights have been trampled by Bill C-45, the government’s omnibus budget bill. Concerns include leasing of reserve land, on-reserve voting rights and scrapping the Navigable Waters Protection Act, which reduced protection of millions of our lakes and rivers to less than 200. No longer protected are northwestern Ontario rivers like the Kaministiquia, or the Nipigon River, home of the largest speckled trout in the world. “
“neither has the Prime Minister consulted with scientists, academics, small businesses, Canadian workers, NGOs, provincial premiers, or Parliament, including his own backbenchers”
~ Bruce Hyer- MP for Thunder Bay

Because of this thousands of First Nations people’s have been protesting and rallying across the nation voicing their opinions and trying to raise awarness. A good alternative media-gross roots organization known as “Idle No More” has a good way to get involved and to get informed on these types of issues.

As time passes by more and mroe things that come up suggest that Idle No More is a socially engineered movement by the elites working as a psyoperation, much like The “Occupy Movement”.
For more info on that please CLICK HERE.

NATIVES AND NON NATIVES MUST UNITE!

This is an attempt for the federal government take over all of the sovereign land of Canada and to be able to do as they please with rivers and lakes. At the same time they are engineering a ‘movement’ for everyone to take part in (Idle No More) so that the government can control their opposition (Canadian dissidents to Harper government). This effects as a whole. All Canadians have to wake up and realize that there is a corporate take over of this country, converting it to a one world government, big brother survellience/spying, cashless society ran by the United Nations.
The royal elites like to divide and conquer their populations they chose to oppress.

Notice from author: PLEASE RESEARCH UNITED NATION AGENDA 21. THIS BILL HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH IT

I agree, why am I paying for what my ancestors did.The Indians came over the bering strait killed the norsemen and cavemen that were here first.Took their land, called it their own. Then our ancestors came here, and took the land. But what happened 250 years ago was my fault!!They are making this all about them, the bill is for everyone. With jobs, infanstructure, and our future.First Nations make up 4% of canada, why do they have a say in my future!

  2. I am reading all of these comments, and I agree that I cannot believe the racist remarks I am reading. Its despicable. HOWEVER……

I also don’t believe we “owe” the aboriginal community ANYTHING. They have had years of opportunity to prove themselves worthy contributing members of our society and have failed miserably. They continue to piss and moan about how poorly they have been treated…by poorly do you mean that a government had to step in to care for your people because you couldn’t and so that now brings you to where you are today? Stolen children??? You were taken from abject poverty and raised in a successful, caring household with good food, education, health care….and you feel you were wronged because you lost your “culture”? Your culture was obviously one of abuse and neglect when you were removed from it for your own good, what are you complaining about? We in the “outside world” have been observing your excesses and abuses for years, all while we have watched you fritter away the benefits you were given and very few of you make the effort to better yourselves on your own, you have no idea how to break your own destructive cycle. Out of frustration you blame everyone else around you, because you flatly refuse to be accountable for your own actions. How can you, when your LEADERS won’t be accountable for their own actions. Force your chiefs to give up some of the comforts they have to support their people…..how far would their money go to make your lives more safe and comfortable?
I could go on and on, but I have a job (as a contributing member of society)to get to on time.
As an FYI to those of you that read this, I also have first hand experience watching what aboriginal people do to themselves and their communities. I work for a government agency that deals with these people and their attitude all the time. Every single day. Even living in our city, with all the help we have to offer, they refuse to better themselves and their hands are always out. Now they want to bitch and whine about having to live like the rest of us? Its called EQUALITY, the thing you have been screaming about for decades. Now you will be equal with us, and be placed under the same rules and restrictions in certain situations as the rest of us. If you don’t like it, all of you get back on your reserves and govern yourselves like the “proud people” you keep telling us you are instead of a whining pack of snivellling dogs.

  3. The British monarch signed the treaties with the first Nations people as long as the Rivers flow with the grass is green and the sun does shine are the stipulations that maintain the treaty – but the queen also did declare that these treaties would be upheld only and as long as the natives maintain the public peace – so the treaties are void !!!! Look in our federal and provincial institutions and see who populates the general population to 94% it’s all natives / reinforcing the fact that the treaties are now void look to the uprisings of Donna walkie look to the uprisings on via rail look to the uprisings throughout the time of the last decade and see who is caused the uprisings – its the Indians Not maintaing the treaty !! The treaties should be all revoked based on the uprisings and who populates the federal and provincial jails and Indian possee gangs !

  4. I feel bad for all that is goin on….it has been since the first day the the treaty was written..natives ar.e to ..pasive…shitty time to start shit

  5. Critically concerned // December 30, 2012 at 1:52 pm //

Are you people stupid, this post is specifically posted for ” I never signed no treaty” so i must ask were you alive in prehistoric times, you must have been to factually KNOW that all cavemen were white and that Adam and Eve were white thats the dumbest thing i ever heard try educating yourself beyond your children’s picture books! Who im sure were written by white authors, and by the way when talking smack about an important subject proper English might make you seem a little more serious you stupid hick!

  6. Yall bitch that chiefs arnt doin a good job. Lmfao, a hell of a lot better than harper is

our government is destroying our country passing laws behind our backs lieing and stealing to make a few dollars and yet spend billions on military equipment we don’t need like honestly who would we go into war with the united states fuck if we did they would savagely rap our country so what the fuck would we need a few dumb fighter jets for? we would still loose our country is suppose to be peace keepers and now he wants fighter jets fuck harper we need a new leader someone who actually cares for their people not someone who plans on just ripping us off

  10. I voted for Mr. Harper and I am proud of it. Here is a man and a government who think about the future of this country and all that are in it. My roots could be German, Ukrainian, Russian, Jewish or First Nations but my roots are only my roots … the most important is that I AM CANADIAN. I want MY CANADA to grow and thrive in all ways and Mr Harper is exactly the one to take ALL CANADIANS and ALL OF CANADA to a great future! Are you for CANADA or against it? Seperating us into First Nations, Quebec etc is only against us all! Go Harper Go!

  11. I’m hoping what I read about C-45 is correct, and that more accountability Bills will pass through. Consultations with Natives in Canada have been going on for years. Billions have been wasted and Canadians see the corruption, greed, theft, lack of accountability, and the such. I see these protests and thank these people for creating more awareness. In the end all the above noted that I mentioned is going to come out. Are you prepared to deal with all the findings? I’m glad and hope the gov’t can step in an see what my tax dollars are actually going to. As for the hunger strike lady, she makes over 70,000$ a year looking after a population of about 1600. Communities twice that size with mayors make maybe 15,000$ a year. Gross excessive wages across the board on every reserve. Crossing my fingers that accountability is on its way. Thank you PM Harper and the vast majority that agree.

  12. Unsettling // December 29, 2012 at 6:10 pm //

What is wrong with you people, you think that every first nations persons is a thief or a drunk. Shame on you, Racism is still alive and well on this page. Harper’s way of controlling the native people is to take there self goverance over, unprotect the waters and land so he can sell it off to the highest bidder to push Enbridge through. But i guess when people buy there food at the grocery store you don’t care about those people that still live off the land. The display of hate on this page is setting us back years.

  13. Startled..... // December 29, 2012 at 7:31 am //

Treaties are formal agreements negotiated between two or more sovereign Nations.

    Nuff said?…..apparently not.

If this wasn’t a “race” issue, but a “law” issue…..this thread wouldn’t be here.

I guess the kind of Canada a lot of you are looking for, doesn’t atone for mistakes, or believe in fulfilling contracts……….again, startled, and now saddened……..

  14. i never signed no treaty // December 29, 2012 at 7:18 am //

forget about hows land it is, other people have claim to this country before native and white people do.
    scientist and God proves this

vikings landed on the east coast, who were white
god created earth, and Adam and Eve, who were white.
cavemen were hear long before anyone else was, and all pictures i ever seen, they were white
and when Canada was joined long ago by the Barrins Strait, Oriental people crossed,
so you prove to me, native people were hear first, plus i love you to see you call God, the almighty a liar, who was white.
he’ll put an end to this idle no more with the rapture.
go ahead, call the almighty down, you’ll have land, down under were its very hot.
he also claims all men are created equal, no matter what color our skin is, so be equal, bond together, work, pay taxes, and this country will be a better place.
