Recently I filed a complaint about a poster that refers to Hamilton’s tap water being the “clear choice” above the water fountains in the children’s area of the Hamilton public library. You can read that story HERE
I had a chance to speak with several library employee’s that day, who all agreed with what I had to say. But I knew that the library management would not take action. This was confirmed today in an email response that I received.
Thank-you for your comment form we received today along with additional notes. It is clear you are passionate about fluoridation in our City water supply. The poster to which you refer to was one supplied to the Library by the City of Hamilton. The Library uses municipal tap water, which I believe is fluoridated, in its locations. The poster does not tell people to drink the water but merely makes people aware that the City tap water is a clear choice. While the new research you attached is compelling, it appears that fluoridation is hazardous only with acute fluoride poisoning.
The City of Hamilton maintains a safe water supply for all of its citizens. Ease of access to free City water is important, and the Library is happy to provide that ease of access, especially in our role as a cooling center, for the citizens of Hamilton. I would ask that if you have concerns about the quality of Hamilton’s water supply that you direct these concerns to City Hall or a local government representative. For now the poster will remain up.
Thank-you,

So it seems that either the manager of the library see’s herself as quite the expert on fluoride and it’s toxicity, or she has been in touch with our public health office. It is very clear, that some one within the city of Hamilton’s staff. Obviously believes that they can ignore science from some of the most prestigious scientific communities around the world. Stating that their argument is compelling but wrong.
The audacity never ends!!!

So do we really need to add more to our water ?? what did we do berfoe we had the technology to do this ??? What about all the people with osteoporosis does that mean we need to add calcium to our water ? or people that want more vitamins should we add them to our water why not fortify it with everything so we dont need to go any where else for nutrients ??? just think of the problem that would cause leave the water as is its water we need it for life stop polluting it or adding more to it than mother nature did its that way for a reason . or was mother nature wrong?
The only ingredient in rat poison is sodium fluoride. A good strategy in this type of situation os to use propaganda against them. Just get a sheet of stickers or something you can glue on a poster and write down facts about fluoride that contradict the safety message of the poster. All you really have to do is get the reader to use critical thinking, and question the validity of the argument on the poster. Sadly the fluoride is in the water because it has an effect on the brains’ ability to critically process information.
Maybe DAWNA should take some time while she is at her workplace which I’M SURE has a wealth of knowledge about fluoridation in our water systems and truly educate herself about it and then make an honest fair judgement about fluoridation .Be sure to search the facts in the non-fiction section so you get the real facts sounds as though you have already searched the fiction end of the info that is readily available from your local city government.
