Have you had enough of our current government, and Stephen Harper? Tired of living under what is quickly becoming a tyrannical state. Where logic and common sense has gone out the window.
Well so have we, and it is time to put it to an end. It is time to depose Stephen Harper and the current parliament.
Definition of depose: (Government, Politics & Diplomacy) (tr) to remove from an office or position, esp one of power or rank.
We can legally and peacefully accomplish this, by petitioning the Governor General of Canada to depose both Harper and the parliament, due to a lack of confidence in their ability to govern our nation.
If we are going to beat these draconian internet bills, and absurd marijuana/minimum sentencing laws, we must act now and act quickly.

To His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada:
We, the undersigned, call on the Office of the Governor General of Canada to respectfully depose our current Prime Minister Stephen Harper And The Current Parliament.
Neither Stephen Harper or the current Parliament have our confidence in the running of our country. We feel that our basic rights and freedoms are being undermined, and the basic institutions of democracy in our country are being eroded. To a point that severely undermines our very traditions and heritage as a nation.
Except you forget Harper installed his own crony as fast as possible into the GG seat the moment he could. Why would this guy ever sell him out.
It would also create a constitutional crisis, as an unelected monarchist would be able to depose our government.
I despise Herr Harper and his fascist jack boots, his ever growing PMO praetorian guards, his toady cabinet ministers that fan the flames of racist hatred and ignorance, I hate everything about them. But this will never work.
Do what Egypt did.
I agree that the GG is another crony but that is the quote unquote GG’s role. Even if it creates a constitutional crisis, maybe that is what is needed to shake this nation up a bit. This to me is a peaceful means to achieve what Egypt is still fighting for. To do what Egypt and several middle eastern nations have done, is exactly what our government wants. It gives them an excuse to tighten those jack boots up, and increase the police state.
We must do this peacefully and this petition has just as much of a chance as do the ones against the individual bills.

I am writing this letter in hope that some of you will have the courage to stand up to Prime Minister Harper. He is destroying our freedom and our country. I understand that there is crime that needs to be dealt with, but since the crime rate has not risen for a number of years, this idea of super jails is going to put our country in a police state. You will be ruining the lives of people who are already having a hard enough time to survive in this country without the necessities of life such as education, healthcare and a reasonable retirement pension. Is this the country you wanted when you entered into politics?
Someone must be aware of the medical marijuana debacle. It has been proven repeatedly that marijuana is a very valuable plant. Prohibition doesn’t work. It supports organized crime and addiction. Legalization would minimize the risks taken by our youth when they try these drugs if they were controlled substances. It would also create a source of jobs and revenue. Isn’t that a better alternative than putting everyone in jail?
Deregistration of the gun registry is another way to support the criminals in our nation. Look at our neighbors in the US. There is a perfect example of what we don’t want to see here. Do you want people shooting each other? Do you care?
Years ago we used to look after our mentally ill by putting them away in institutions. Now they are left to their own devices with very little support. Should they be in jail? Does that seem right to you?
Canada was a country I was proud to be a part of until Mr. Harper took office. We were known and respected world-wide as a nation of peacekeepers. That is no longer the case. We have now become warmongers.
Our world and our country have so much potential for good and peaceful relations on a global scale. We need to work together we can make it into something we can be proud of again.
You must be aware of the global Occupy movement! Surely you realize that the majority of citizens are against Mr. Harper’s agenda! Is your head buried in the sand? If not, do something! It will take courage and you may have to dig deep for that courage, but consider the consequences if you don’t.

Although Harper is subservient to the Desmarais power structure, which is a proxy for the House of Windsor; the Harper gov’t is still bringing out positives (end of wheat board, end of long gun registry, etc). Harper must tow the line in order to remain breathing, however he is putting up speed bumps on the road to fascism.
Paramount to everything is that any current alternative (Ignatieff or Ray) would be much, much worse.

Many in the target audience will not take action because of the format of the petition. Downloading a document (that did not open correctly on my machine), and then trying to search for an email or snail mail address to send it to is too much work for the average, already-swamped Canadian.
You can follow the example of the ONE organization, and use an online petition. All the user has to do is click “Sign petition” (with the option of writing a custom message).
