The other night I got into quite a debate with family members. I was trying to explain some facts about Canada’s population growth. That the actual number of Canadians are dropping rapidly. So of course they asked, then why is our population increasing? The answer to that is simple. Immigration.
They contested that there is no way, that immigration numbers could be that high.
Evidently we Canadians are simply complying and agreeing with our own cultural destruction and are stuck in denial about it.
According to information from the 2006 Canadian census the average family in Canada has about 1.1 children. This does vary from 0.8 to 1.5, between common law families, and single parent families.

This video about global population explains that couples need to have an average of 2.1 children to sustain a nations population. We are far below that number, about 50% less.
Around 250,000 immigrants are allowed into Canada each year since the year 2000. That is 2.75 million new Canadians in 11 years.
Canada’s population growth rate in 1999 was 0.83% and in 2010 it was 1.09% Source. Averaging this off at 1%, that would mean a growth of 10,000 Canadians every year. Multiply that by 11 years and you get a total of 1.1 million in population growth in 11 years.
2.75 million in immigration, but only 1.1 million in total population growth.
Where has the other 1.65 million Canadians gone? No where. They were never born. We are not sustaining our population and “topping up” with foreign immigration to still give an appearance of growth.
As the above video states, When a nation is having less children and the population ages. The retiring population begin to outgrow the amount of new workers, and severe economic problems occur.
Stephen Harper has recently said that pension cuts may be needed because of this exact reason. Not enough new workers entering the workforce.
And according to an article published in the Huffington Post today, titled: Canadian Birth Rate Low, Immigration To Thank For Growth
“according to population projections Statistics Canada released Wednesday as part of the first release of data from the 2011 census. On its current trajectory, the numbers suggest, Canada’s growth rate could be almost entirely dependent on immigration within 50 years.”
Many Canadians have not liked things such as having to replace Merry Christmas with Happy Holidays, to not offend other cultures. This is only going to gradually keep getting worse. We are on a clear course for cultural disaster, with Canadian heritage to become a thing of the past.
This is also making our country a “depopulation grounds” for third world nations.
Many of the immigrants that come to Canada are coming from nations with very high averages of children in families. Once here our media, a variety of social programs, and education system install the idea of having smaller families into the new citizens. Various other birth control methods and chemically educed infertility play a role. As well as eradication of the middle class and keeping the majority of people poor.
Which in essence is working towards lowering the global population. A stated goal from the United Nations Agenda 21. That states to “save” our planet population growth must be curbed, and a green agenda must be put into action.
No major wars, famines, or anything of that nature is needed. Just dumb a population down and then create the depopulation grounds. With bombardment of propaganda convincing them that to save the Earth we need less people and Nazi type control.
Makes perfect sense. It is getting harder to maintain multiple children and an enjoyable lifestyle. Its all about the bottom line now, and we are all feeling the squeeze. I would encourage people to have children regardless of theirs, and world circumstances, as things tend to work themselves out for the best anyway, like all our ancestors.
People all need to worry less about the future, or the right time, and have children regardless. That will encourage a more responsible, better society, and world. As the world belongs to all the children.
Your math is all screwed up here:

This suggests there is something special about the status quo worth preserving:
“We are on a clear course for cultural disaster, with Canadian heritage to become a thing of the past.”
To my understanding this is only a problem if seniors have not saved for retirement and become dependants on their children or the state:
“The retiring population begin to outgrow the amount of new workers, and severe economic problems occur.”
I believe Thailand reduced its population without any economic problems.
I blame mostly Trudeau and feminism for destroying our culture, institutions / money system and family/ community viability, although demographics and technology undoubtedly played a large part too. Canadian culture was uniquely strong after WW2 but has been trashed, mostly by the import/glorification of immigrant values, but also by self-induced myopia and underhanded politics. Not too late to recover but we’d have to start soon.
